Clean and Clear – Window Cleaning Process

by Oct 8,2023

What Is Your Process for Cleaning Windows?

We recommend homeowners to clean their windows 1-2x per year. As windows are one of the most expensive components of a home, it is important to ensure that proper maintenance is done.

By cleaning the windows, the frames and glass are able to kept from having debris build up which can damage the glass, the mechanical window system and screens.

Clean windows also help with curb appeal and allowing for more light to come into the home. There are quite a few studies that correlate light and mood.

For residential window cleaning, we use the following process for cleaning each window:

Step 1 – Remove all screens from the frame

Step 2 – Wet the window with a wet mop applicator

Step 3 – Scrub the window with a glass safe pad to remove any debris

Step 4 – Squeegee the window clean of water mix

Step 5 – Use a detail towel to wipe around the edge of the frame

Step 6 – Wipe down the window sills to remove any dust, dirt, bugs and other debris

Step 7 – Inspect our work and touch up any areas as needed

Please Note – Our process for window cleaning commercial buildings and apartment buildings varies. We often will incorporate the use of water fed poles for these types of buildings
